What is your purpose in life?

“Our prime purpose in life is to serve others, and if you can’t, at least don’t hurt them” — Dalai Lama
So what is your purpose in life? Imagine everyone on earth has realized his or her purpose in life and it revolves around helping at least one person in one way or the other. Oh what a wonderful world this would be! We all need help and sometimes we get it from people we expect it the least.
The great news is, the world is generous to the givers. The marvelous news is, the universe is benevolent to those who help others selflessly without expecting anything in return. “You can have everything you want in life, if you will just help enough other people to get what they want.” — Zig Ziglar
Each individual has been allotted some specific purposes to fulfill in the universe and in most cases; at least one of those purposes is linked to a passion. A passion is any meaningful activity that gives you a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment whenever you engage yourself in it. This activity is the one you can do day-in and day-out without getting tired or bored and still look forward on doing it the next day, the next month, or next year and for a lifetime with excitement because it is something you truly love.

Jay Shetty says “Your passion makes you happy, but if you use your passion to make a difference in someone else’s life…that’s a service, that’s a purpose.” On the one hand, “Purpose always produce passion. Nothing energizes like a clear purpose. On the other hand, passion dissipates when you lack a purpose”. — Rick Warren, the author of The Purpose Driven Life.
Purpose gives meaning to your life and propels you to power. To paraphrase Lachlan Brown, Purpose is one of the four basic pillars of a meaningful life, alongside with the following three;

1.Transcendence — Being part of something bigger than you and what you know
2. Controlling your perception of life — When a person strives for meaning, he or she instead looks beyond the current situation and looks at the bigger picture.
3. Belonging — The place where you feel most alive and you are surrounded with love. Most often than not, this is your family, relationships, and friendships.
Purpose is core to a meaningful and totally fulfilling life. It takes a purpose to seek something bigger you and what you know. It takes purpose to control your perception of life and to change yourself for the better. It takes purpose to surround yourself with love and in most case, it is because you want to be happy and experience the full joy of life.
“This is the true joy of life: The being used up for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clot of ailments and grievances, complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy” — George Bernard Shaw.
In other words, if you stop complaining and follow your passion wholeheartedly while you allow your life to be driven by a purpose, the world becomes your oyster.
My purpose in life is to serve others selflessly by inspiring them to take action in the pursuit of what set their souls on fire (their passions) or any endeavor they love and bring them to life. That is my mission on earth.
